Race/Multiculturalism SIG
The Race/Multiculturalism SIG is a special interest group within AME with two basic aims: (1) encouraging, promoting, and highlighting within AME scholarship on issues of social justice, marginalization, and discrimination with respect to race, color, ethnicity, and culture; (2) encouraging scholars from groups marginalized or discriminated against on the basis of their race, color, ethnicity, or culture to participate in AME, and providing a supportive community within AME for such scholars.

The Social Conflict, Violence and Peace Education SIG
The Social Conflict, Violence and Peace Education (PE-SIG) SIG is a special interest group within AME with two basic aims: (1) encouraging, promoting, and advancing innovative educational practices to address different kinds of social conflict that may be commonly managed through violent means but that require alternative non-violent approaches; (2) providing a platform and networking opportunities for scholars who share an interest in conducting research and/or advancing innovative educational practices in these areas.
